Jason I went to high school with you and your brothers. I read your book in a few short hours last weekend. I have a friend who is a heroin addict who is in and out of recovery/rehab. Once a successful lawyer his addiction started with pain killers as well. People often think of addicts as people from the "wrong side of town", you and i know that is not the case. I thank you for being brave enough to share your story. I hope that it will help many many people know that there is hope for them or someone that they love. I wish you and your family nothing but happiness and continued success.

How about a book signing in Charlotte? When the Panthers drafted you I told everyone how good you were. Your name would be right up there with Minter and Rucker on the ring of fame if not for your injuries.
I loved your book. What I appreciate you for is you tell it like it is. I'm like that...I don't spin a thing.
God Bless your family for always being by your side. Congratulations and keep up the good work. What an inspiration you will be to many!
One last thing: I grew up in Nebraska even though my adopted home is Charlotte. When I am asked what kind of people live in Nebraska I tell them wholesome and genuine. Thank you for your kind words about the state and its people.

I read your book a couple of weeks ago and everyone is telling me NOT to let my 14 year old read it because of the profanity. Well I think my 14 year old needs to read it regardlous of the profnity. This book will teach him a huge deal about addiction, sports, family values etc. My son is starting High School this year and I think it would be great for him to read about the pressures of athletics.
I thought your book was increadable. Your mom, dad, brothers, aunt and friends stuck by you no matter what. And now your wife is their for you. As you know, Jason, you are blessed.
One last thing, I'm glad we got Osborne and not Holtz. Glad your living in Nebraska and GO BIG RED!!!

Dear Jason,
I just graduated high school and i was also a captain on my football team and I was truly inspired by your book. My father was addicted to alcohol and painkillers and eventually lost his battle with addiction ending in his suicide. Thank you for telling your story and it goes to show that anyone get caught up in the "underground" lifestyle and we're all lucky that you survived and are now brave enough to tell your story to the world.
Sincerely,
Michael Pallone

Hey, I'm actually from Middletown NJ as well. I also had the opportunity to be at an awards dinner with you and your brother Christian where you actually handed me the award I won. Any way I just wanted to say that your book was awesome, as cliché as it sounds I really couldn't put it down. I too had a rough time with pain meds from football all these year. Thanks again for taking to time out to write such a great book and sharing your experiences with us. God Bless

I was born in raised in Nebraska. We all wanted to play for the Huskers wondering what it would be like and how great it must be.
The first thing that jumped out at me is how does a player actually know if the girl he is with likes him for who he is or just that he will be rich someday.
I guess being common is really not that bad after all.
Great book, it is simply amazing Jason is still alive today.
I honestly could not put the book down I read the book in one day. Most books take me at least a week because I get bored.
It should be required reading for all college football players ready to embark on the NFL. I would say High School, but honestly it is to dark for young adults.
